ANSPDCP

Romania's national data-protection authority, the escalation point for disputed Biroul de Credit entries.

ANSPDCP (Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal) is Romania's independent data-protection regulator, enforcing GDPR as implemented under Romanian law across every sector, including consumer credit. It investigates complaints, can fine controllers for unlawful processing, and publishes formal decisions on its own register.

For a fast-loan borrower, ANSPDCP is the relevant authority when a dispute over an inaccurate Biroul de Credit entry or an IFN's handling of personal data cannot be resolved directly with the lender or the bureau — Romanian and EU law give consumers the right to request correction or deletion of inaccurate records, and to escalate to ANSPDCP if the data controller does not respond adequately.
