Buró de Crédito
Mexico's primary private credit-reporting bureau.
Buró de Crédito is Mexico's leading credit bureau, holding repayment history for credit cards, loans, and mortgages that lenders can query with consent. A newcomer to Mexico will typically have a thin or empty file rather than a negative one, since credit history does not transfer internationally.
Most Mexican fintech microloan lenders do not query Buró de Crédito for first, small loans, making the product accessible to residents building credit from scratch. CONDUSEF regulates the bureau and guarantees consumers one free annual report.
