DAE (Dobânda Anuală Efectivă)
Romania's standardized annual percentage rate under EU consumer-credit law.
DAE is Romania's legally mandated annualized cost figure for consumer credit, defined under EU Directive 2008/48/CE — the direct Romanian counterpart of Spain's TAE.
For short IFN (non-bank) fast loans, DAE figures look high once annualized even though the actual RON cost of a short loan is modest, the same annualization effect seen with TAE, CAT, and CAE in other markets this site covers.
