Central de Deudores del Sistema Financiero

The BCRA's official regulatory debtor database, distinct from — but a key input into — the commercial Veraz bureau.

The Central de Deudores del Sistema Financiero is a public database administered directly by the Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA), where every bank, card issuer, fintech, and cooperative lender must report each borrower's repayment status monthly under the situación crediticia scale. A "situación 0" or "no CENDEU" result means no active history is on file, which is not the same as the debt having disappeared — an entity may simply have stopped reporting it.

It is worth keeping the Central de Deudores conceptually separate from Veraz, the commercially operated Equifax Argentina bureau: Veraz aggregates reported data — some of it ultimately traceable back to the BCRA framework — into its own consumer-facing score, but the two systems are not identical. A borrower checking their own standing for accuracy may need to consult both the BCRA's free public database and their Veraz report to get the complete picture.
